War has a way of stealing everything — homes, safety, dreams, and even the simplest joys of life. For thousands of Sudanese families who fled violent conflict in their homeland, the Kiryandongo Refugee Camp in Uganda has become a place of refuge. But even in safety, the struggle is far from over.
Mothers, fathers, and children now live in makeshift shelters, having left behind homes, cars, businesses, and the lives they once knew. These are not just statistics — they are real people, with real pain, real stories, and real hope. Many arrived with nothing but the clothes on their backs, and today, they survive on limited resources, holding on to the hope that someone, somewhere, will care enough to help.
