This World Refugee Day—June 20, 2025—join us as we honor resilience, restore dignity, and uplift lives at Kiryandongo Refugee Settlement.
The theme this year, “Community as Superpower,” reminds us that the strength of a refugee is not found in isolation, but in unity—with each other, and with those willing to stand with them.
On this important day, the Sudanese Human Rights Association (SHRA) will lead a heartfelt outreach to the Kiryandongo Refugee Camp in Uganda—home to thousands of displaced families who have lost everything but hope.
We will spend the day sharing food, essential supplies, stories, encouragement, and joy with these families—most of whom are children, mothers, and youth deeply affected by the trauma of war in Sudan and South Sudan.
But we cannot do it without you.
Your donation will help us:
-
Provide food parcels and basic hygiene kits
-
Organize community activities and trauma-healing spaces
-
Offer medical and psychosocial support
-
Remind every refugee child that they are seen, heard, and loved
We are also gratefully receiving in-kind donations of tangible items, including:
-
Clothes (for children and adults)
-
Soap and personal hygiene items
-
Shoes, reusable sanitary pads, and basic household goods
These items can be dropped off at our SHRA Office at Mirembe House (2020), Makerere, Kampala.
No amount or item is too small. Your gift is not just a donation—it’s a declaration of compassion and community.
Let’s make June 20 a day of healing, belonging, and renewed strength for every refugee we reach.
Together, we are the superpower.
đź’™ Stand with refugees. Empower community. Give hope.
